Applied learning at Wichita State

Admission to the program

In addition to 九色视频 Graduate School admission requirements, applicants must:

  • Have a bachelor's degree in forensic science, a natural science, or criminal justice and minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Submit three letters of recommendation from professional references who can speak to the applicant's background and potential success in the master's program
  • Submit a statement of purpose: a brief autobiographical statement describing particular interests, experiences and goals related to academic and professional work in forensic firearms
  • Submit a resume or CV providing a description of experience or qualifications

Curriculum

Three tracks are available, depending on your educational goals and academic background.

  • Traditional Track: For students with an undergraduate degree in criminal justice, forensic science or a related field. Gain foundational knowledge about firearms and toolmarks, preparing you for entering a forensic laboratory and eventually becoming a firearms examiner.
  • Trainee Track: For entry-level trainees currently working in an established firearms section within federal, state and local law enforcement agencies.
  • Firearms Examiner Track: For recognized firearms examiners looking to fulfill educational and experience requirements or complement their professional work with added knowledge.
